Are the Qeynos monk headband quests working properly?

I've already done the sashes quest line and I ask because my Qeynos related factions are maxed; Guards of Qeynos, Jaggedpine Treefolk, Merchants of Qeynos, Silent Fist Clan; and Phin Esrinap, monk guildmaster, still cons indifferent to me and will not give the proper response to start the white headband quest which is required to follow through to do the epic.

He does not respond with headband info, he responds with something along the lines of 'tasks for a more trusted member' or some such.

Any ideas? Or am I missing something?

You need to kill gnolls outside the gates to build up faction with the Silent Fist. You need pretty good faction to get the headband quests.

That's the problem, it says that your faction with Silent Fist could not possibly get any better. So I'm stumped.

investigating the quest scripts.

The only faction I seem to be low on is Ashen Order (Freeport Monks), been raising that one, will let you know if it has any effect, but wouldn't think so. Unless maybe the factions crossed in the db perhaps? Or perhaps I'm just totally missing something. Both are quite possible.

Ok, I raised the 'Ashen Order' faction to the point that it says it is maxed as well. As expected, the FP faction had no effect on the Qeynos faction NPC's. Phin still shows up as 'indifferent' when conned with all known factions raised to max.

Just thought I'd pass it along.

I updated Phin's script. After the reboot he should behave differently. If he doesn't, then it's not the script but he needs his faction adjusted in the npc table. Let me know.

The database has been updated as well, should work for Phin.

Checked it out, Phin is now an ally which reflects the Silent Fist faction correctly. So that is working properly.

However .. he's still saying 'I feel that such a vital matter should be left to one of our more trusted members.', and not giving the details of the headband quests.

BUT .. and this is a good but .. When I handed in the components for the first part of the quest, he DID give the headband as he should. Not sure if this will follow suit with the rest of the quest, but I will update as I complete the sections. Been trying for days to get the 'putrid rib bones' for the 2nd part of this quest, but only found 1 in numerous days of trying off and on, so will keep trying.

So it's mostly there and for most part working. Much appreciated!

While typing 'headbands' in does not produce the correct results, typing in 'white headband' DOES give the info for the quest, but he still says the above statement as well.

Adjusted all the drops to this quest, should be active with next server re-start

So far so good got the yellow headband. I have all the items to complete the quest to the end for headband except for 'Blackburrow Gnoll Skin'. Been at it a couple hours, when it drops I will do the turn ins for the complete quest line and let you know if it all worked.

Well, been fighting there for 3-4 hours today, no drop on the "BlackBurrow Gnoll Skin" so far. I'm bound there, so been porting back every time there should be a re-spawn.

Killing: a gnoll brewer, a gnoll commander, a gnoll tactician, an elite gnoll guard, Splitpaw Commander, the gnoll high shaman; over and over and a few others that are listed as possibly dropping it. Not sure what the drop rate should be on these, but thought I'd mention it.

I upped it more, but will take effect when I re start server this morning.

Well .... Apparently I shouldn't have gotten the last few levels today, because I went back to try for the skin again, and it says that the zone is trivial to me.

Heh, I'm batting a thousand.

Guess the only way I can test is to get another toon going. I'll see about getting one up enough to do that.

Took a level 7 down there and the skin dropped of a regular gnoll just in front of the lower commander room. Not sure they should drop it, but at least the skins are available now which in turn allows for the monk and I think a rogue quest to be done now.

Monk headband quest was completed up thru the purple headband.

The only issues is that the second monk trainer for the headbands, Togahn Sorast, does not always respond with the text describing what is required for the quests. But, looking it up on the web and handing in the correct items for each stage did still work.

So that is workable at this point.

Almost forgot and not sure if it's important, but when I turned in the quests for the headbands, the noted faction chages were improved as follows:
Faction2082
Faction10101
Faction2030
