The server has crashed a few times during the past day - The reason is the hard disk again. I'm going to hunt down another (maybe they're making better Solid State Hard disks by now).

I have a new hard disk arriving next Tuesday at the latest, so server might be shaky tell then.

Thanks for the update and all the hard work that goes into keeping the server up!

Good stuff Angelox. What SSD did you go with? They get better and better (and cheaper!) constantly.

I just put in the new hard disk, used a disk cloning application provided by Linux. Very nice I might add! Much harder to start from scratch and try and remember all what I did. I think I'll do some more cloning , just to have images of all this - If the Web server hard disk ever died, it would take me days to get all that right (not just the backups, but all the applications that have to be installed and tweaked for it all to work).

brikker1, I got a Sandisk Plus and has their newest firmware - so we'll see how that goes.
I prefer the SSHD because there is hardly any disk I/O , and with the server sometimes running 100 plus zones (every zone requires a zone executable), it can bog down a regular hard disk with overwhelming disk i/o.
